Function Health is an AI-powered health operating system that helps people understand, measure, and improve their health through comprehensive lab testing, imaging, longitudinal data, and AI-guided insights. You will own the most critical external-facing projects that currently lack clear ownership—product launches and new business lines that must work in the real world. This is a build role, not strategy or coordination. Each project starts from scratch with new domains, constraints, and no templates. You will define the right questions, move fast to understand the problem space, and drive initiatives all the way to completion.
Function operates AI-first. The ideal candidate has fundamentally changed how they work by adopting modern AI tools fluently. They test new workflows constantly, automate what others do manually, and hold themselves to what should be possible tomorrow, not just today.
Key responsibilities include: owning external and market-facing projects end-to-end from scoping to delivery; researching new domains, structuring problems, and producing real outputs (working products, plans, frameworks you execute); going deep technically when required and shipping; writing clearly to turn ambiguous situations into actionable points of view; making decisions with incomplete information and adjusting quickly; working across functions (operations, product, clinical, engineering, legal, finance); and driving multi-million dollar initiatives with accountability at every stage.
You have 7+ years building real things—shipped products, written code, founded companies, or stood up new business lines. You started in engineering, product, analytics, research, or data roles and moved into product or operating roles where you still own the build. You are a doer first who doesn't delegate hard parts, goes deep, and produces work others can act on. You move fast under uncertainty, make good calls with incomplete information, write clearly and structurally, and genuinely believe preventive healthcare is one of the most important problems to solve.
