Wordsmith is a legal operations platform serving in-house legal teams at enterprises like Financial Times, Safelite, Trip.com, and Canva. The company is backed by $100M from Index Ventures and General Catalyst and is scaling rapidly in the legal AI space.
You will build and lead Wordsmith's global sales enablement function from the ground up as the first enablement leader. This is a strategic role where you'll own the vision, strategy, and execution of all enablement programs that help the revenue organization scale effectively.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and implementing onboarding, ramp, and certification programs for Account Executives across Enterprise, Mid-Market, and SMB segments with measurable outcomes
- Acting as the bridge between Product, Engineering, and Sales—translating product releases into practical seller guidance
- Elevating the quality of demos, trials, and competitive positioning through playbooks, coaching, and content in partnership with Pre-Sales Legal Engineering and Product Marketing
- Building a scalable coaching infrastructure with clear metrics and team development
- Establishing the operating rhythm and programs that enable the revenue team to perform at a higher level as the company scales
You should have experience building a sales enablement function or program from scratch in a fast-growing company, with a proven track record of creating practical, high-impact programs. You'll need strong product instincts, confidence running polished demos, and the ability to help sellers build credibility with sophisticated buyers (General Counsel, Chief Legal Officers, Legal Ops leaders). Experience managing and developing enablement talent is essential, along with a data-informed, collaborative approach and the ability to operate as a hands-on player-coach.
Wordsmith is an in-office team in New York. The environment is high-performance: the company moves quickly, sets a high bar, and expects ownership. This is a role for someone who thrives in fast-moving environments, communicates clearly, and has a bias toward action.
