Alan is a prevention-focused health insurance company integrating insurance, prevention, and care into a single user experience. The company serves 1M+ members across 40K+ partner companies and has reached €800M+ in ARR. Alan is expanding across France, Spain, Belgium, and Canada with a team of 1000+ people.
As Head of Sales Belgium, you will own Alan's commercial growth strategy in Belgium with the ambition to become the market leader by 2030. This is a hands-on leadership role combining strategic direction with personal involvement in key opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and execute Belgium's sales strategy, revenue plan, and performance against growth targets
- Lead and develop a sales organization of approximately 40 people, including managers and individual contributors
- Recruit, onboard, coach, and retain high-performing team members while building clear career paths
- Establish sales methodology, processes, metrics, and operating rhythm to ensure predictable, scalable performance
- Personally support strategic and complex deals, particularly in enterprise and public-sector accounts
- Partner with Marketing, Product, Sales Operations, and other teams to improve lead generation, sales efficiency, and market positioning
- Ensure alignment between Belgian go-to-market strategy and Alan's global commercial approach
- Work closely with the Belgian General Manager and senior stakeholders to drive sustainable growth
You will be expected to work from the Brussels office several days per week to build strong team relationships and stay close to the business.
Requirements:
- Significant experience leading, coaching, and scaling B2B sales teams, including through managers or team leads
- Proven track record delivering growth in complex and competitive sales environments, ideally involving enterprise, public-sector, or long sales cycles
- Ability to combine strategic leadership with hands-on involvement in important customer opportunities
- Demonstrated ability to build high-performance sales culture through clear goals, strong coaching, effective processes, and data-driven management
- Fluency in Dutch and English (French-speaking or French-understanding skills are a plus)
- Willingness to work from Brussels office several days per week
- Plus: Experience in HR, healthcare, insurance, employee benefits, or banking; familiarity with recognized sales methodologies
