Salary: USD 291,000 - 386,000 / annual
Anduril Industries is seeking a Head of Production for its rapidly growing Space Business. This is a leadership role responsible for scaling Assembly, Integration, and Test (AIT) operations for a growing portfolio of advanced space systems. You will own production strategy and execution, leading cross-functional teams to transition satellite and space system designs from prototype to high-volume production.
Key responsibilities include: establishing new manufacturing lines with detailed ramp and headcount plans; creating and executing long-term strategies to scale production from prototype units per year to predictable high-volume rates; leading large production teams (100+ people) to meet aggressive customer timelines; overseeing all AIT aspects for space systems to ensure mission success; partnering with engineering on design-to-production transitions; coordinating across planning, supply chain, engineering, quality, and AIT teams; managing cleanroom environments and procedures; applying aerospace quality standards (AS9100, AS9103); shaping corporate tools and processes for space production needs; triaging resources amid shifting priorities; and providing strong on-site leadership.
Required qualifications: 10+ years overseeing production, assembly, integration, and test of complex electromechanical products; proven NPI ownership for multiple complex hardware products; strong leadership of 100+ person manufacturing teams; demonstrated cross-departmental leadership in matrix environments; track record scaling production 5x+ in high-complexity manufacturing; expert knowledge of aerospace quality systems (AS9100, AS9103); experience managing cleanroom manufacturing; strong quality assurance background with culture-building experience; success in both low-rate and high-rate manufacturing; eligibility for U.S. Secret security clearance; ability to manage 6+ large parallel projects at rapid pace; and requirement to work onsite five days per week at Costa Mesa HQ and nearby sites.
Preferred: 10+ years with space systems, satellites, or aerospace hardware; NPI execution in aerospace/space; deep knowledge of space supply chains and space-grade component sourcing.
