The Head of Production for Missiles will own the scaling of missile product manufacturing to meet warfighter demand. This role is responsible for short to mid-term (1–3 year) strategic development, execution, operational direction, career pathing, and vision for the missile product suite. Key responsibilities include owning production outcomes (ramp plans, new product introduction, headcount planning), creating and executing long-term strategies to rapidly scale production volumes, and leading cross-functional production teams to execute plans that meet customer timelines.
You will partner with engineering to transition new products to production quickly, maturing products from low-rate prototypes to full-rate production by driving processes and systems throughout the product development lifecycle. You'll work across planning, supply chain, engineering, and operations teams to deliver manufacturing excellence, shape corporate tools and processes to support production needs, and triage production resources to manage shifting priorities. The role requires applying appropriate production controls aligned with product maturity and enabling the business to ship diverse products quickly to confirm product-market fit.
Additionally, you will serve as a rallying point for production teams through strong leadership, advocacy, and on-site presence, drive workforce development aligned with long-term production scaling, and maintain strong stewardship of production outcomes, inventory, and costs.
