Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a Head of Production to lead the strategic development and operational execution of high-volume compute device manufacturing. This is a hands-on leadership role combining strategic vision with operational excellence.
You will own end-to-end contract manufacturer (CM) relationships, managing performance, capacity planning, and transitions from New Product Introduction (NPI) through sustained mass production. Key responsibilities include establishing and managing KPIs across yield, quality, cost, throughput, and on-time delivery; leading production ramps across multiple CM sites and geographies; and holding partners accountable to aggressive targets.
On the supply chain side, you will develop and execute supply chain strategy for high-volume production, including demand/supply planning, component sourcing, inventory management, and logistics. You'll build resilience against component shortages, single-source risk, and geopolitical disruption while partnering with procurement and engineering to secure critical component allocation at scale.
You will negotiate manufacturing agreements, pricing, capacity commitments, SLAs, and cost-down roadmaps with CMs and suppliers. You'll structure commercial terms that protect margin, ensure supply, and align partner incentives with volume and quality targets, while driving year-over-year cost reduction.
Strategically, you'll serve as the production voice to the executive team and board, translating operational status and risk into clear recommendations. You'll partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, Procurement, Quality, Program Management, Deployment Operations, and Finance to align production plans with company goals.
You will build, lead, and develop a high-performing production/operations organization, establishing manufacturing processes, operational playbooks, and systems to enable efficient scaling. You'll advise on and oversee implementation of digital manufacturing technologies (PLM, ERP, MES, QMS) and ensure adherence to industry standards such as AS9100D and all relevant safety, regulatory, and environmental requirements.
