The company enables fintechs, digital ecosystems, and multinationals to embed accounts, cards, lending, and payments directly into their products. Headquartered in Berlin with operations in Frankfurt, Solaris is transitioning into an AI-native banking platform.
The Head of Product & Engineering is a dual-domain leadership role reporting directly to the Executive Director of Technology. This position owns both product vision and engineering delivery for foundational capabilities that power Solaris's broader technology ecosystem.
Key responsibilities include:
**Dual-Domain Leadership**: Lead and mentor teams composed of both Product Managers and Software Engineers. Own both the product roadmap (what/why) and engineering execution (how) for foundational technical products. Foster a culture of high performance, accountability, and engineering excellence.
**Product Foundation & Core APIs**: Oversee development and scaling of critical technical capabilities including Authentication services, API proxies, Policy engines, Identity and Access Management (IAM), and Webhook architectures. Ensure these foundational products reliably power Solaris's external and internal-facing API suite while maintaining high availability, security, and low latency.

Identify manual bottlenecks in business processes and deploy technical solutions to automate them, enabling efficient scaling.

Solaris emphasizes continuous learning through its Academy, AI ambassador mentorship, and upskilling programs, alongside a workplace rooted in integrity, proactive risk management, and equality.
