SumUp is seeking a Head of Pricing & Monetisation to lead the company's commercial engine and shape how millions of small businesses choose and buy their products. This is a rare opportunity to build senior ownership of pricing strategy, design the operating model, governance and tooling that turn pricing into a repeatable engine for revenue and margin.
You will set company-wide pricing and monetisation strategy, translating commercial priorities into a clear, prioritised roadmap with measurable outcomes. You'll own or facilitate pricing decisions across merchant pricing, payment processing economics and packaging, working within agreed decision rights. You will establish pricing governance, decision rights and escalation paths, creating consistent ways of working across Commercial, Product, Finance, Sales and Engineering.
Using data, customer insight, financial analysis and experimentation, you'll identify and prioritise pricing opportunities with the biggest commercial impact. You'll improve how pricing changes move from decision to implementation and measurement, closing gaps and removing bottlenecks. You'll shape pricing data, tooling and experimentation capabilities so teams across the business can make repeatable, evidence-led decisions. Building trusted relationships with executive leadership and senior stakeholders across Product, Finance, Sales, Commercial and Engineering is essential.
You'll work shoulder to shoulder with Product, Finance, Sales and Engineering, with the space to define the team, the strategy and the way pricing decisions get made across the business. SumUp operates from Berlin or London with an office-first setup. The company serves over 4 million businesses in 37 markets and has over 3,000 employees from 90+ nationalities.

- Strong track record connecting pricing decisions to revenue, gross margin, contribution margin or other measurable commercial outcomes across products or markets
- Comfort working with imperfect or fragmented data, building clear value hypotheses and moving from analysis into decisions and measurable execution
- Experience setting pricing strategy, governance and decision rights across multiple stakeholder groups, including building, leading or significantly developing a pricing or monetisation team
- Confident, clear communication style with the ability to influence Product, Finance, Sales, Commercial and Engineering stakeholders, especially when pricing authority is shared across functions
