As Head of People, US, you will serve as the senior HR partner for the US and Canada workforce, blending strategic leadership with hands-on operational execution. Key leadership responsibilities include: serving as the US employment law subject matter expert, partnering with external counsel on compliance; driving organizational design and workforce planning; leading compensation philosophy reviews and market benchmarking; owning culture initiatives and in-office presence strategy; developing manager enablement programs; and leading performance management strategy. You will manage and develop the US/Canada People team, including People Operations, People Experience, and dotted-line oversight of Payroll and Talent Acquisition.
Operational responsibilities encompass end-to-end administration of incentive plans and annual review cycles; designing and running performance review cycles with calibration sessions; leading employee engagement surveys; managing employee relations and internal investigations; administering accommodation requests; overseeing benefit selection and renewal; managing offboarding processes; and providing ongoing coaching to leaders navigating people challenges.

You've navigated both startup environments and mid-to-large organizations, ideally experiencing a company through a meaningful scaling inflection point. You have firsthand experience with large-scale organizational change, strong knowledge of multi-state US employment law, and exceptional communication skills. You're a builder who designs scalable systems while remaining hands-on, and you bring credibility and empathy to partner effectively with executives, managers, and front-line employees.
