OpenFX is building infrastructure to enable cross-border payments at institutional scale, operating across multiple geographies including the US, UK, UAE, and India. The company is backed by top-tier investors (Accel, Lightspeed, NFX) and is scaling rapidly with a team drawn from JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs, FalconX, PayPal, Affirm, and other leading fintech firms.
You will build and scale the people function from the ground up as Head of People Operations & Talent, reporting to the COO. This is a builder role spanning both talent acquisition and people operations across all geographies. You will own recruiting infrastructure, onboarding, offboarding, employment compliance, benefits administration, performance frameworks, and employee relations.
In your first 90 days, you will audit current people operations and talent acquisition across all locations, identify gaps, and understand the employment setup in each jurisdiction (direct employment, PEO/EOR, contractor arrangements). You will then stand up foundational systems including structured onboarding, a recruiting process with consistent interview frameworks and scorecards, and a clear intake system for hiring requests. By month three, you will fill priority roles, launch structured onboarding, and present a workforce plan aligned to business priorities.
You must have experience building people infrastructure at a scaling company (ideally 50–100 to 200+ people across multiple countries) and understand what breaks during that transition. Global complexity is essential—you need comfort operating across India, US, EU, UK, and UAE from day one. You must be credible in both talent acquisition and people operations, capable of operating autonomously in ambiguous environments, and skilled at written communication for a globally distributed, async-first organization.
Fintech experience is a plus but not required. Prior "Head of" or "VP" titles are not required; the company cares about what you've built. You can be based in Miami, London, Dubai, or Bangalore, with flexibility to travel when needed.
