Salary: EUR 90,000 - 105,000 / annual
ALSO is an electric mobility company spun out from Rivian, focused on designing and manufacturing vertically integrated, small electric vehicles to address global mobility challenges. The company is seeking a Head of Operations, Europe to establish and manage European operations from its Deinze, Belgium headquarters.
In this role, you will own the complete setup and management of European logistics, warehousing, and facility operations. Key responsibilities include:
- Establishing and managing 3PL (third-party logistics) relationships across Europe, designing processes from conception through execution
- Negotiating terms and conditions for goods clearance, stock keeping, and value-added services in coordination with HQ
- Designing and owning end-to-end inbound and outbound goods flow processes for the European territory
- Ensuring product availability and timely delivery to meet customer demand
- Partnering with HQ purchasing, production, and commercial teams on forecasting, allocation, and delivery windows
- Leading the build-out of the ERP system to automate restocking, goods allocation, order management, picking, returns, and administration
- Building a transparent, customer-friendly logistics flow
- Managing and integrating the Deinze warehouse and office facility, including offices, after-sales operations, and warehousing for warranty and spare parts
- Overseeing daily facility management, from procurement to maintaining a productive work environment
- Operating hands-on as the initial sole team member while preparing to build and lead a growing team as the business scales
This is a foundational role in a high-growth electric vehicle company, offering the opportunity to build European operations from the ground up with significant autonomy and impact.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven experience setting up and running operations and warehouse(s), with strong understanding of warehousing processes and systems installation
- Experience managing multi-country logistics
- Highly organized with flawless administrative oversight
- Hands-on, entrepreneurial mentality suited to building from scratch; agile approach preferred over large corporate style
- Customer-oriented mindset with ability to deliver build-to-order solutions and transparent communication
- Fluent in Dutch and English (spoken and written); German is a plus
- Comfortable operating independently in early stages while preparing to lead a growing team
