You will lead the launch and early scaling of new health categories as Head of New Verticals, reporting to the Director of New Verticals. You will line-manage a team of Category Leads and own each vertical from inception through product-market fit and reaching £XXM+ ARR. This is a builder-and-operator role requiring someone who thrives in zero-to-one environments, can balance strategy with execution, and brings teams along on the journey.
Key responsibilities include:
- Identify and model commercial opportunities for potential new vertical launches, ensuring robust alignment on investment and global roadmap consistency
- Build end-to-end experiences with category leads, setting high standards for excellence across the delivery team
- Lead category launches from early proposition through MVP, market testing, and initial scale, managing and developing Category Leads while maintaining pace, quality, and commercial rigor
- Define success metrics for each category, set milestones, and drive the team to hit them using data and patient feedback to iterate and make go/no-go decisions
- Coordinate global launch readiness with country managers across markets, ensuring alignment on timing, positioning, and operational readiness
- Partner with PR, comms, and supply chain teams to ensure public launches are supported by the right external narrative and operational infrastructure
- Shape exceptional patient experiences by partnering with Product, Medical, Marketing, and Ops to build seamless journeys that solve real patient problems while meeting high clinical quality standards
- Own the P&L per vertical, define pricing models and growth levers, and work with the Director of New Verticals to build a pathway to long-term sustainability
You are a ruthless operator with a builder's instincts, energized by early-stage environments, comfortable with ambiguity, and able to bring structure and momentum to complex launches. You care deeply about patients and hold yourself to a high bar on quality.
Requirements:
- Strong commercial and operational track record of 5+ years owning execution of new products or category launches from early proposition through to market
- Experience in health, D2C, or subscription businesses, with understanding of building high-trust patient or customer experiences and genuine interest in improving health outcomes
- Proven people leadership: managing and developing teams, providing clarity, support, and challenge to direct reports
- Cross-functional coordination experience working across product, clinical, marketing, and ops teams, aligning people around shared goals and moving quickly without losing quality
- Data-driven and outcome-obsessed approach: interrogating data, running experiments, iterating fast, and focusing on actions that move the needle on engagement, satisfaction, and retention
- Patient-first mindset with high bar for clinical quality and empathy
- Entrepreneurial and structured approach: creative, resourceful, comfortable in uncertainty, but with strong follow-through and operational discipline
- Strong communication skills, able to represent strategy clearly to country managers, senior stakeholders, and teams
- Curious and growth-oriented, actively seeking new perspectives and adapting based on evidence
Bonus experience includes direct background in health or preventative care (diagnostics, hair loss, menopause, TRT), working across international markets or with country-level general managers, PR/comms strategy or supply chain coordination for consumer launches, and successful track record launching and scaling subscription-based health services.
