Shuttlebase is an AI-powered platform that enables websites to self-evolve through generative AI, large-scale data pipelines, and continuous experimentation. The company is well-funded and very early-stage, operating at the intersection of AI and eCommerce.
As Head of Marketing, you will own the complete marketing strategy and lead a growing team. Your responsibilities include:
**Strategy & Positioning**
Own Shuttlebase's end-to-end marketing strategy, including positioning, messaging, brand, demand generation, and growth initiatives. Shape and evolve the brand voice to stand out in the competitive AI and eCommerce landscape. Build and own a proactive go-to-market (GTM) calendar that defines the GTM narrative and keeps sales, customer success, and product aligned. Decide where and how the company shows up at conferences and industry events, translating presence into pipeline.
**Team Leadership**
Directly manage a Marketing Manager, setting clear goals, priorities, and a strategic framework. Build the roadmap and prioritization layer needed to scale the function. Mentor and develop your direct report.
**Execution & Ownership**
Build and run a content engine that converts ideas, customer wins, and insights into momentum. Own demand generation across paid ads, performance marketing, funnels, and experimentation. Operate at the intersection of strategy and tactical day-to-day execution.
You'll work directly with the founding team in a culture that values curiosity, ownership, radical transparency, and shipping impact. The role is based in Midtown Manhattan with an office-first culture (4 days/week).
**Requirements**
7+ years of marketing experience, including leadership in a high-growth startup (SaaS, B2B, or eCommerce tools strongly preferred). Proven experience leading a growing marketing function with the ability to introduce strategic roadmaps, prioritization frameworks, and proactive GTM calendars. Demonstrated ability to manage and develop individual contributors, growing people beyond direct work. Deep understanding of content, branding, performance marketing, and demand generation. Strong intuition for positioning and messaging—ability to make complex products simple and compelling. Hands-on experience with paid channels (Google, Meta, LinkedIn, etc.) and performance optimization. Comfortable owning real numbers: pipeline, CAC, conversion rates, not just awareness metrics. Builder mindset: strategic when needed, scrappy when it counts. Clear communicator who can align founders, GTM teams, and marketers around a single narrative.
