Revolut is seeking a Head of Lending to lead the strategy and execution of the company's local lending business in Canada. This is a director-level role with end-to-end ownership of the Canadian lending portfolio, responsible for developing and executing lending strategy from product design through market launch.
Key responsibilities include: developing and executing strategy for local lending features; defining customer segments, pricing, credit limits, and portfolio roadmap; building and optimizing the Canadian credit risk framework including underwriting policies, fraud controls, and collections; monitoring portfolio performance across approval rates, activation, utilization, delinquency, and risk-adjusted returns; partnering with Product, Risk, Engineering, Operations, and Finance teams; collaborating with global teams to adapt lending capabilities to the local market; ensuring regulatory compliance with Canadian consumer protection, AML, privacy, and credit reporting requirements; and establishing scalable operating processes and external partnerships.
Required qualifications: 7+ years in consumer lending, credit cards, or retail banking with progressive leadership responsibility; bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business, STEM, or quantitative discipline; proven success leading a consumer lending or credit card business with end-to-end ownership; deep understanding of lending economics, underwriting, pricing, portfolio management, and collections; expertise in credit risk management; knowledge of consumer lending regulations and credit bureaus; experience launching new lending products or expanding into new markets; strong commercial judgment with track record of growing portfolios while delivering sustainable risk-adjusted returns; impressive analytical skills; and ability to influence cross-functional teams.
Nice-to-have skills include: credit card portfolio experience, high-growth fintech background, Canadian regulatory knowledge, modern underwriting techniques including machine learning, experience with unsecured personal loans or BNPL, cloud-native lending platforms, multi-market experience, and securitization/funding strategy exposure.
