Revolut is seeking a Head of Lending to lead the strategy and execution of the company's local lending business in Canada. This is a director-level role with end-to-end ownership of the lending portfolio, responsible for building and scaling consumer lending products that drive Revolut's global growth.
Key responsibilities include developing and executing the lending strategy from product design through market launch, defining customer segments, pricing, credit limits, and the lending portfolio roadmap. You will build and continuously optimize the Canadian credit risk framework, including underwriting policies, credit policies, fraud controls, and collections processes. The role requires monitoring portfolio performance by analyzing approval rates, activation, utilization, delinquency, losses, and risk-adjusted returns.
You will partner cross-functionally with Product, Risk, Engineering, Operations, and Finance teams to deliver lending initiatives and product enhancements. Collaboration with global teams is essential to adapt Revolut's lending capabilities to the local Canadian market. A critical component of this role is ensuring lending operations comply with Canadian regulatory requirements, including consumer protection, anti-money laundering (AML), privacy, and credit reporting obligations.
The ideal candidate brings 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in consumer lending, credit cards, or retail banking. You should have a bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business, STEM, or a related quantitative discipline. Proven success leading a consumer lending or credit card business with end-to-end ownership is essential. You must demonstrate excellent understanding of lending economics, underwriting, pricing, portfolio management, and collections, along with deep expertise in credit risk management.
Knowledge of consumer lending regulations, credit bureaus, and the payments ecosystem is required. Experience launching new lending products or expanding into new markets is highly valued. You should have solid commercial judgment with a track record of growing portfolios while delivering sustainable, risk-adjusted returns. Strong analytical skills, the ability to influence cross-functional teams, and excellent communication and stakeholder management skills are essential.
Nice-to-have qualifications include experience launching or managing credit card portfolios, background in high-growth fintech or digital-first banking, knowledge of Canadian consumer lending regulations, familiarity with modern underwriting techniques including alternative data and machine learning models, experience with unsecured personal loans or BNPL products, and exposure to securitization or balance sheet management.
