Reporting to the VP of Legal Engineering, you will lead Harvey's Legal Engineering (Product Specialist) teams across EMEA. This is a second-line leadership role managing Legal Engineer Managers and overseeing teams focused on post-sales customer engagements with law firms and in-house legal departments. You will drive organisational leadership, operational excellence, and cross-functional execution.
Key responsibilities include: leading and scaling a team of Legal Engineer Managers and their organisations; building systems, processes, and operating mechanisms that enable Legal Engineering to deliver exceptional customer outcomes at scale; partnering closely with Product, Engineering, Sales, Customer Success, and Operations to align priorities and drive execution; serving as a trusted advisor to law firm and in-house legal leaders; driving organisational performance through planning, resource management, talent development, and operational excellence; and helping define the future of Legal Engineering at Harvey.
You bring 9+ years of post-qualification legal experience, with a background practicing at a top-tier law firm and/or in-house at a leading company. You have proven experience leading managers and manager-led organisations in complex, fast-paced environments, with demonstrated success building and scaling high-performing teams. You own organisational systems, processes, and operating models, and have a strong track record of building cross-functional partnerships, managing upward, and influencing senior leaders. You represent organisations externally and build trusted relationships with executive-level stakeholders. Deep familiarity with legal technology and AI tools, combined with strong understanding of how law firms and in-house legal teams operate, is essential. Exceptional communication, leadership, and organisational skills are required.
Preferred qualifications include experience leading teams outside traditional law firm or in-house hierarchies, background in legal technology or professional services, experience in high-growth technology companies, leadership of globally distributed or pan-EMEA teams, and ability to create structure and drive execution in rapidly evolving environments.
