Elroy Air is seeking a Head of IT to build and lead secure, scalable, and high-performance IT systems as the company scales Chaparral aircraft from flight testing into full rate production. This is a foundational leadership role responsible for architecting and operating internal IT infrastructure across the organization, including corporate IT, identity and access management (both physical and digital), endpoint systems, networking, and compliance frameworks required for export-controlled defense environments.
You will work directly with engineering, security, legal, and executive leadership to ensure systems are robust, compliant, and enable rapid execution without compromise. This is not a maintenance-focused role—you will shape and build the systems that allow the company to mature and operate efficiently at scale. The role combines strategic infrastructure planning with hands-on execution, requiring someone who can both lead a function and contribute directly to critical initiatives.
Key responsibilities include designing and implementing IT infrastructure that supports rapid growth, establishing security and compliance protocols for export-controlled operations, managing identity and access controls, overseeing endpoint and networking systems, and partnering with cross-functional teams to remove technical barriers to execution. You will be instrumental in establishing IT governance and operational excellence as Elroy Air transitions from development to production.
