Taxfix, a fintech company founded in 2016 with operations across Germany, Spain, and the UK, is seeking a Head of Financial Systems Transformation to lead the modernization and AI-integration of its financial infrastructure. The company has facilitated over €3.5 billion in tax refunds and operates an intuitive tax-filing platform serving millions of users.
This is a strategic leadership role combining finance expertise with systems architecture and technology transformation. You will own the end-to-end roadmap for Taxfix's financial systems infrastructure, driving the adoption of AI and automation across core finance processes including order-to-cash, record-to-report, procure-to-pay, revenue recognition, accounting, treasury, and billing.
Key responsibilities include: mapping the current finance systems landscape across all Taxfix countries and designing the target architecture; driving transformation of core finance processes through AI, automation, and best-in-class tooling (e.g., NetSuite, Pigment, Chargebee); identifying and implementing high-leverage AI-powered automation opportunities; evaluating emerging fintech and AI solutions to maintain competitive advantage; defining and sequencing a multi-year transformation roadmap balancing strategic ambition with pragmatic delivery; building institutional-grade systems architecture with robust controls, audit trails, and governance; co-owning control layers across month-end close, revenue recognition, and KPIs; and serving as primary liaison between Finance, Engineering, Product, and external technology partners.
The ideal candidate has a dual expertise profile: either a finance professional with deep knowledge of all core finance processes and hands-on experience with ERP systems, automation, and finance transformation projects, complemented by emerging AI and advanced analytics skills; or a data engineer/technical leader who has transitioned into complex finance and business systems work with strong accounting literacy and multi-year responsibility for financial systems. You are a builder and strategic thinker who can sketch finance roadmaps within growth contexts, manage senior stakeholders, and deliver implementable projects with day-to-day teams. You will lead a dedicated team and work across an international, regulated business environment.
