Graphcore, a UK-headquartered semiconductor and AI compute company now part of SoftBank's global AI ecosystem, is seeking a Head of Financial Planning & Analysis to lead enterprise-wide financial strategy and planning. Based in Austin, this strategic finance leader will drive forecasting, performance management, and decision support while partnering closely with the CFO, senior finance team, executive leadership, and the Board.
Key responsibilities include owning the annual operating plan, rolling forecasts, and long-range strategic plans; developing financial models and narrative to support scenario analysis; leading scenario modelling and sensitivity analysis across growth, capacity, headcount, opex, and capex; and supporting capital allocation and ROI analysis. You will act as a trusted advisor to the CFO and CEO, preparing materials for Board meetings and executive presentations, and delivering clear explanations of performance versus plan, risks, and corrective actions.
You will own monthly performance reporting, variance analysis, and executive reporting; define and track KPIs across opex, capex, and cash flow; and drive accountability through data-driven insights. As a business partner to functional leaders in Engineering, Operations, People, and Supply Chain, you will support capacity planning, capex planning, and cost modelling while translating complex technical and operational drivers into financial outcomes.
You will build, mentor, and lead a high-performing FP&A organization; establish scalable planning and forecasting processes suitable for rapid growth; own the FP&A systems roadmap including planning tools, BI, and data models; and drive data quality, automation, and self-service reporting.
Required: 12–15+ years in FP&A, corporate finance, or investment roles; experience in high-growth, PE-backed, and multinational environments; strong understanding of technology infrastructure, hardware, or development economics; proven ability presenting to senior leadership; advanced financial modelling and forecasting skills; working knowledge of IFRS/US GAAP; and strong people leadership.
Preferred: MBA, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent; background in AI infrastructure, semiconductors, data centres, or hyperscale cloud; M&A, carve-out, or integration experience; hands-on experience with Anaplan, Adaptive, Hyperion, or similar platforms.
