Anduril Industries, a defense technology company transforming U.S. and allied military capabilities, is seeking a Head of Finance to lead the Air Dominance and Strike (AD&S) division's finance organization. This senior leadership role will oversee financial planning and analysis, program finance, strategic finance, and pricing as the division rapidly scales. You will manage division, business line, and program finance teams while providing CFO-level financial expertise and support to senior leadership.
Key responsibilities include: managing financial forecasting, budgeting, and reporting across division, business line, product, and program levels; evaluating financial performance against forecasts and identifying trends; developing and presenting executive-level financial insights to senior management; leading the development of data-driven financial models for segmentation, pricing optimization, and product financial returns; managing and scaling a dedicated finance team through hiring and implementing best practices; owning performance dashboards and KPI monitoring; and developing relationships with internal and external customers for program reporting and invoicing.
You will partner daily with senior AD&S leaders to identify and implement improvements to business performance and finance systems. The role requires deep involvement in operations, supporting the creation of bottoms-up analytical models, and assessing the financial impact of strategic decisions. AD&S is responsible for developing next-generation collaborative combat aircraft (including the unmanned fighter jet Fury), advanced effects (including the air-breathing cruise missile Barracuda), and autonomy software that powers these systems, taking products from concept to full-rate production at scale.
Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA or professional certifications like CPA/CFA preferred); 15+ years of finance experience in Big Tech, Defense, Large Manufacturing, or Government contracting with 3-5 years in senior leadership; advanced Excel and financial modeling proficiency; experience with financial reporting tools and ERP systems (Oracle Fusion, Oracle EPM, Anaplan, Foundry); demonstrated track record of owning finance problems end-to-end; intellectual curiosity; technical precision; and critical thinking skills.
