EtherFi is seeking a Head of Ecosystem & Partnerships to own the company's commercial and partnership strategy across its product suite: weETH (decentralized ETH staking), Liquid vaults, and Cash (a card and neobank product). You will take over a portfolio of live commercial negotiations currently managed by the COO and become the single owner of partner strategy, deal execution, and ongoing partner management.
Primary responsibilities include managing the full partner stack behind Cash—card network relationships, payment providers, and ramp providers across fiat and stablecoin corridors. You will negotiate complex commercial agreements end-to-end, covering pricing, minimums, exclusivity, term, and commercial structure. You'll evaluate build-vs-partner tradeoffs and own the business case for each decision. You will also manage counterparty relationships with trading, lending, and treasury partners.
On the ecosystem side, you will source large-scale capital and distribution opportunities across the product suite, negotiate incentive deals and revenue-share agreements, and drive native deployments of EtherFi assets on new chains. You'll structure launch partnerships for new products and identify expansion opportunities into new markets and corridors, working alongside compliance and legal teams on local ramps, regional payment networks, and licensing partnerships.
Success is measured by commercial agreements signed and renewed on favorable terms, partner stack health (coverage, redundancy, cost), and chain/ecosystem deals signed with value delivered through incentives, revenue share, and distribution.
You should have 5+ years in partnerships, BD, or commercial roles spanning fintech/payments and crypto, with a track record closing complex multi-party commercial agreements. Strong DeFi fluency is essential—you need to understand LSTs, vaults, lending markets, and incentive design well enough to originate credible vault deals and speak credibly to protocol teams. You must be comfortable with commercial structuring, modeling deal economics, and operating independently with full ownership of your pipeline, terms, and forecasts. Experience with card network membership, LatAm/emerging-market payments, or relationships with L2 foundations and exchanges is a plus.
