LemFi is a Series B fintech building a financial platform for the Global South, enabling immigrants to send remittances, manage multi-currency accounts, make payments, access credit, and build long-term wealth. The company processes over $1B in monthly transactions across 30+ countries with a team of 400+ spanning 20+ countries. As Head of Credit Finance, you will be the first dedicated finance leader for LemFi's credit business, which is now scaling with a secured warehouse facility. You will own end-to-end accounting for the credit portfolio, reporting to senior leadership and the board. Key responsibilities include: managing IFRS 9 compliance for loan book recognition, effective interest, and impairment; leading the credit provisioning process and ECL methodology integration; overseeing warehouse facility finance including borrowing bases, drawdowns, covenant compliance, and lender reporting; optimizing operational controls and reconciliations across systems; driving automation of reporting pipelines between lending systems and NetSuite; managing cash flows including collections, sweeps, and collateral accounts; preparing statutory and FCA regulatory returns; leading technical accounting and audit relationships; and building out the credit finance team as the portfolio grows. You will deliver strategic insights on cost of funds, unit economics, and portfolio performance to FP&A, the CFO, and the board. Required experience: specialist background in SPV and structured finance accounting (warehouse facilities, securitization, or forward flow structures); deep knowledge of funding mechanics (borrowing bases, eligibility tests, waterfalls, covenant reporting); lending experience with loan books, interest recognition, fee amortization, impairment, and ECL; strong IFRS 9 grounding; professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, ICAEW, CIMA, or equivalent); comfort with process improvement in fast-moving environments; direct experience with lenders and external auditors; ability to reconcile across systems at volume. Nice-to-have: specialist lender, consumer credit, or credit-focused fintech background; FCA regulatory reporting and capital adequacy experience; warehouse facility setup or multi-facility scaling; multi-entity, multi-currency, multi-jurisdiction reporting; familiarity with IFRS, FRS 102, or US GAAP; NetSuite or data visualization tools (Snowflake, Tableau, Looker).
