Electric Era builds the fastest, most reliable EV fast-charging network for high-traffic retail and convenience locations across North America. The company's RE200 chargers combine high-power charging, integrated battery storage, and proprietary software to deliver industry-leading uptime. They partner with leading fuel and convenience retailers to scale charging infrastructure. As Head of Corporate Development, you will report directly to the CEO and own the capital strategy and strategic partnerships that drive the company's growth. You will work closely with Finance, Sales, and the Board on the company's most critical investor and corporate conversations. Key responsibilities include: • Lead equity fundraising end-to-end: build investment narratives and financial models, run the fundraising process, manage the data room and materials, and position the CEO and team for investor conversations. • Develop and manage project capital and third-party ownership financing models for CapEx-intensive EV charging solutions and CoPower offerings. • Build and own relationships with strategic partners and industry players, converting them into profitable ventures through joint ventures, distribution agreements, licensing, co-development, and strategic sales partnerships. • Design and negotiate deal terms that unlock revenue or new capabilities, from term sheet through contract execution. • Source, screen, and prioritize M&A opportunities, alliances, and acquisitions. Maintain a live pipeline with clear go/no-go decision criteria. • Manage investor and board relations, keeping stakeholders informed, aligned, and prepared for funding rounds. You will have the opportunity to shape the capital strategy of a company building critical power infrastructure, work directly with the CEO and board on defining decisions, and build the corporate development function from scratch with meaningful equity. REQUIREMENTS: • 8+ years of experience in corporate development, investment banking, venture/growth investing, or strategy, with a demonstrated track record of originating, leading, and closing deals. • Proven success running capital raises and securing commitments from institutional investors. • Experience structuring joint ventures, licensing agreements, distribution partnerships, or strategic investments with large corporations. • Strong financial modeling and valuation skills with sound judgment on which metrics drive value. • Excellent storytelling and communication abilities; ability to write compelling investment materials, command a room, and negotiate effectively. • Founder mindset with high ownership, speed, and comfort with ambiguity. NICE TO HAVE: • Background in EV charging, energy, cleantech, or critical infrastructure. • Relationships with climate, infrastructure, or strategic investors. • Experience with project finance, debt facilities, or government incentives. • Cross-border deal experience, including Latin America and APAC.
