TENEX.AI is a fast-growing, well-funded AI-native Managed Detection and Response (MDR) provider backed by leading investors including Andreessen Horowitz, Crosspoint Capital Partners, Shield Capital, and others. The company is scaling rapidly and seeks a senior communications leader to build its external voice and market presence from the ground up. This newly created role reports to the VP of Marketing and owns the complete PR and analyst relations function. Key responsibilities include developing and executing global PR strategy to secure tier-1 and tier-2 media coverage across security trade press, business/tech media, and industry publications. You will build and manage direct relationships with analysts at Gartner, Forrester, and independent research firms, leading briefings, inquiry responses, and positioning for inclusion in reports like Magic Quadrants and Waves. You will lead end-to-end communications planning for global product launches, coordinating messaging, press materials, embargoes, and timing across regions and time zones. As the primary press contact, you'll field inbound media inquiries, manage journalist relationships, and proactively pitch stories to build market presence and share of voice. The role includes developing executive thought leadership through bylines, speaking opportunities, award submissions, and media training for company spokespeople. Cross-functional alignment is critical—you'll partner closely with Marketing, Product, and Executive leadership to ensure external communications align with product roadmap and business priorities. You'll also lead crisis and issues communications to protect company reputation under pressure, and track/report PR and analyst relations metrics including share of voice, coverage quality, and positioning trends. Required qualifications include 8-10+ years in PR, corporate communications, or analyst relations, ideally in cybersecurity or enterprise B2B SaaS. You must have demonstrated success securing tier-1 media coverage, direct experience managing analyst relationships with Gartner and Forrester, and a track record leading communications for global product launches. Experience advising and media-training C-suite spokespeople is essential. A bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or related field is required; APR certification is a plus. Bonus experience includes cybersecurity/MDR/XDR background, high-growth early-stage startup environment, international/global comms spanning multiple regions.
