Physical Superintelligence (PSI) is an AI-native physics laboratory that builds higher-fidelity world models and engineers physical systems beyond human design. Founded in September 2026 with $58M in seed funding from Breakthrough Energy Ventures, PSI combines physicists, AI researchers, and engineers from Harvard, MIT, Princeton, Google DeepMind, NVIDIA, and other leading institutions. PSI has developed Emmy, a physics engine that provides infrastructure owners with verified physics models of their entire systems—from chip to grid. Emmy's capabilities include physics-native reasoning trained on simulators, fast stand-in models that screen designs orders of magnitude faster than traditional solvers, inverse design (working backward from target outcomes to designs), and coupled multiphysics modeling (power, heat, fluids, chemistry, structures). The company engages customers through three campaign types: design campaigns for facilities not yet built, operating campaigns for running facilities, and design-check campaigns for one-shot systems like space hardware. Data centers are the first market; the same engine applies to energy, space systems, and government applications. You will lead go-to-market for Emmy as Head of Commercialization, reporting to the CEO and partnering closely with the COO. Your responsibilities include: (1) Positioning Emmy's novel capabilities to executive buyers across data center developers, operators, hyperscalers, and energy/infrastructure companies; defining offers for each segment and project stage; owning the executive narrative, proposals, and demonstration strategy. (2) Structuring PSI's outcome-based pricing model where customers fund scoping and pilots, and PSI shares in verified value at scale; designing extensions including design fees, performance-based agreements, IP licensing, government contracts, and partnerships; building economic models for every proposal. (3) Leading PSI's most significant opportunities from first executive conversation to signature, building consensus across complex stakeholder groups, managing multi-party decision cycles, and expanding successful engagements into multi-phase programs. (4) Building the commercial operating system for scaling from founder-led selling to repeatable motion, including opportunity qualification, pipeline management, forecasting, proposal standards, and deal review; establishing metrics and reporting for leadership and the board; building and leading a small senior commercial team. First-year priorities: finalize and standardize pricing and contract frameworks across data center segments; convert current executive relationships into signed multi-phase engagements; develop first strategic partnerships beyond data center; implement pipeline, forecasting, and deal-review processes; define commercial team structure and make initial hires. The role is based in Boston at PSI's Cambridge headquarters, on-site with regular customer travel. Title is commensurate with experience, up to Chief Business Officer. Export control obligations may carry citizenship or immigration status restrictions. REQUIREMENTS: - Ten or more years in enterprise sales, business development, or corporate development - Personally led and closed multiple eight-figure B2B agreements - Experience bringing novel, technically complex offerings to market where value proposition had to be established with buyers - Experience structuring outcome-based, risk-sharing, licensing, or partnership agreements and building financial models - Proven track record scaling commercial functions from founder-led selling to repeatable, well-governed processes - Executive presence as trusted counterpart to C-suite executives, boards, and investors - Technical fluency in engineering and capital-planning conversations about power, cooling, capacity, and capital budgets (not required to be a physicist) - AI-native: comfortable using frontier models and agents in own work - Strong collaboration skills alongside founders, technical leaders, and advisors PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: - Established relationships with data center developers, operators, hyperscalers, or energy/utility companies - Experience with infrastructure or project finance, including lender and independent-engineer due diligence - Federal contracting experience - Background in technical, forward-deployed commercial models
