LVT (LiveView Technologies) is seeking a Hardware Quality Engineering Manager to lead quality operations at its Spanish Fork, Utah manufacturing facility. In this role, you will build and scale a multidisciplinary quality team including quality engineers, supplier quality personnel, and metrology specialists. You will serve as the technical leader for all hardware quality matters, including analyzing non-conformance data from incoming, production, and field return inspections; leading root-cause investigations using methodologies like 8D, 5-Why, and DMAIC; and executing permanent resolutions.
Key responsibilities include: leading and mentoring a cross-functional quality team; driving root-cause analysis on internal assembly and external component failures; partnering with Manufacturing Engineering to validate test methods, inspection criteria, and screening processes; directing supplier quality resources to enforce vendor accountability and drive corrective actions; building and maintaining ISO 9001-compliant quality documentation and SOPs; ensuring early Quality involvement during New Product Introduction (NPI) gate reviews; overseeing site metrology practices, First Article Inspections, and equipment calibration schedules; and establishing hardware quality metrics (DPPM, yield loss, field failure Pareto charts) to guide operational priorities.
You will work with electro-mechanical hardware, solar/power systems, custom PCBAs, and vision devices. The role requires 6+ years of hardware quality, reliability, or manufacturing engineering experience, with at least 2+ years in a direct engineering management or team leadership role. Required expertise includes ISO 9001 standards, lean manufacturing, GD&T, metrology equipment, and supplier quality management. A Bachelor's degree is required. Travel as needed for supplier collaboration and engineering initiatives.
