Island is seeking a GTM Systems Engineer to own and continuously improve the systems powering the go-to-market organization, with Salesforce as the centerpiece of a connected, scalable technology ecosystem.
You will serve as a senior technical owner across Salesforce and the broader GTM technology stack, partnering closely with GTM leadership and end users to translate business needs into thoughtful system solutions. This is a hands-on role requiring deep expertise in Salesforce administration and configuration.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning and optimizing the Salesforce org with strong emphasis on Flow-based automation, including declarative builds, troubleshooting, and optimization
- Managing integrations and workflows across the GTM stack (Salesloft, Clari, Nooks, DealHub, Onfire, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, 6sense, and others)
- Managing user provisioning, access, and application assignments through Okta, including SSO and provisioning troubleshooting
- Triaging, scoping, prioritizing, and delivering system requests through a Jira-based intake and release process
- Partnering with GTM leadership to gather requirements, recommend scalable solutions, and manage stakeholder expectations
- Documenting processes, configurations, system architecture, and key decisions for institutional knowledge
- Monitoring data quality, system performance, integrations, and automation health; proactively identifying and resolving issues
- Supporting user onboarding and offboarding in coordination with Okta and downstream systems
- Acting as a senior voice in system design decisions and mentoring team members on Salesforce and GTM tooling best practices
Required qualifications:
- Extensive Salesforce administration experience managing a production org, ideally in a GTM or Revenue Operations capacity
- Deep proficiency with Salesforce Flow (record-triggered, screen, and scheduled flows) with ability to build new automation and debug complex processes
- Experience owning projects end-to-end from requirements through release and documentation
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to work with non-technical stakeholders
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and process-minded approach
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
Preferred experience includes proficiency with GTM platforms (Salesloft, Clari, Nooks, DealHub, Onfire, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, 6sense), Okta administration, Jira-based workflows, and GTM systems architecture knowledge.
