Meter is seeking a GTM People Partner to support the company's go-to-market organization during a critical growth phase. This is the company's first People Partner hire, focused specifically on the GTM function.
You will work closely with global, distributed, hybrid GTM leaders and individual contributors across US and EMEA regions. The role is embedded within revenue-generating teams, helping them scale effectively while maintaining alignment with broader company culture and operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting leaders on high-impact decisions around hiring, promotions, compensation, territory and team structure, and performance management. You'll bring clarity and judgment to decisions that directly affect quota attainment and retention.
- Identifying operational friction points—unclear roles, weak accountability, poor coordination—and helping leaders embed rules of engagement and make structural changes that stick.
- Coaching managers through difficult situations: performance management conversations, ramp periods, quota attainment challenges, and team dynamics. You'll help them develop direct feedback skills and build trust with their teams.
- Resolving employee issues quickly and thoughtfully, focusing on solving root problems without adding unnecessary process or slowing teams down.
- Defining how this role evolves as the company scales. Demand will exceed capacity, so strong judgment and prioritization are essential.
- Being present with a distributed team across US and EMEA. You'll spend significant time on video calls and be willing to travel for team offsites, conferences, partner events, and high-stakes moments.
About Meter: Meter builds enterprise networking hardware and software. The company designs and deploys networks at scale for ambitious companies and institutions including Bridgewater, Lyft, and Reddit. Meter's bet is that businesses will use the internet more than ever, and the company aims to provide the definitive networking stack to enable this seamlessly.
Requirements:
- Prior experience supporting go-to-market organizations; deep understanding of how revenue teams are structured, what motivates reps, and how quota and compensation dynamics shape behavior
- High standards with a focus on clarity, accountability, and follow-through
- Comfort with direct conversations about performance, feedback, and leadership
- Ability to make good decisions with incomplete information
- Preference for building and improving over maintaining the status quo
