Clasp is a venture-backed fintech startup transforming education financing and workforce development. The company operates two distinct go-to-market motions on a single platform: Clasp Talent (B2B workforce financing for healthcare employers) and Clasp Finance (high-volume consumer lending to students). The company is a Forbes Fintech 50 company and SHRM portfolio company. As GTM Engineer, you will be the accountable owner of Clasp's HubSpot instance and the revenue operations systems surrounding it. This is the first hire in this role, with significant opportunity to build infrastructure from the ground up. Key responsibilities include: **HubSpot Ownership**: Own the HubSpot instance end-to-end across portals, including object model, lifecycle stages, properties, associations, pipelines, workflows, forms, and integrations. Manage contact tier and seat count optimization, reconcile duplicate records, retire zombie workflows, and audit installed apps for data mutations. **Revenue Operations**: Define funnel stages and GTM metrics that work across two distinct motions. Enforce pipeline and data hygiene through automation. Implement territory, segmentation, and ICP logic in the CRM. Build explainable lead and account scoring with quota and compensation tracking infrastructure. **Pipeline Systems & Growth Engineering**: Build enrichment and data waterfalls, signal-based plays from product and public data, and automated research and personalization. Instrument the student funnel end-to-end to identify bottlenecks. Build and maintain landing pages, HubSpot CMS modules, and forms. **Integrations & Data Flow**: Build and maintain API, webhook, and OAuth integrations between HubSpot, product, and third-party services. Design dependable data flows with validation, observability, consent handling, and access controls. Partner with the data team to ensure clean HubSpot data lands in Snowflake. **Automation & AI**: Identify where AI removes work from the revenue organization (enrichment agents, deal-desk assistants, self-serve reporting). Work within established patterns for production automation with scoped credentials and audit trails. **Change Management**: Plan and land material changes to systems people actively sell on without breaking historical reporting. Communicate changes before shipping and maintain defensible records of what changed, when, why, and who approved it. **Stakeholder Management**: Work across Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Finance, Data, and Engineering. Explain technical tradeoffs clearly to non-technical stakeholders and manage expectations. **Delivery & Enablement**: Own work from discovery through post-launch support. Break work into clear milestones and ship reliable increments on schedule. Document system architecture, CRM configuration, and operational runbooks. Train internal teams and build systems that are not black boxes. **Performance & Conversion Optimization**: Measure and improve conversion across both funnels. Use analytics instrumentation and monitoring to catch regressions early. Quantify impact and be honest about what didn't work. **Requirements:** - Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience (work weighted heavily over credential) - 5+ years in revenue operations, marketing operations, GTM engineering, or analytics embedded in revenue, including 2+ years hands-on HubSpot experience - Experience building revenue infrastructure from minimal existing systems - Experience in regulated industries (financial services, healthcare, insurance) where consumer data, consent, retention, and access controls have real rules; treating these as design constraints - Track record of landing material CRM changes on live revenue teams without breaking reporting - Deep, hands-on HubSpot expertise: custom objects and properties, workflows and custom code actions, forms, CMS modules, CRM and Marketing APIs, association complexity, marketing contact economics. Experience fixing broken instances. - SQL fluency and comfort reasoning about data models - Working knowledge of REST APIs, OAuth, webhooks, data mapping, and reliable synchronization between systems - Scripting ability to automate repetitive work - Warehouse and BI exposure (Snowflake, dbt, or equivalent) is a strong plus - Applied LLM tooling for enrichment, scoring, research, or GTM analytics with realistic perspective on where it works **Nice to Have:** - Lending, fintech, or high-volume consumer funnel experience - Both consumer funnel and enterprise B2B pipeline work - Multi-product or multi-motion company experience where one revenue vocabulary didn't fit the whole business
