Ramp is building smart infrastructure for finance teams, automating how over $200B in annualized spend flows through 70,000+ companies. This Senior Business Systems Engineer role owns and evolves Ramp's Post Sales systems, building products that fuel onboarding, activation, and customer lifecycle management from deal closure through expansions.
You'll design, develop, and deploy applications on the Salesforce Platform, combining hands-on engineering with systems design and commercial judgment. Key responsibilities include architecting reliable integrations between Salesforce, internal revenue apps, data systems, and adjacent business systems; owning data contracts, idempotency, error handling, and reconciliation for quotes, contracts, and subscriptions; designing and maintaining solutions on iPaaS platforms (Workato, Clay, etc.); and driving architectural decisions for scalability.
You'll work closely with Deal Desk, Legal, Finance, Data, Product, and GTM teams to translate complex commercial requirements into durable system behavior. The role requires writing technical specifications, maintaining data integrity, conducting code reviews, and participating in on-call rotations.
Required qualifications: 7+ years with Salesforce platform, 5+ years in systems architecture and integrations, strong Apex and Lightning Web Components expertise, Python proficiency, deep API and integration knowledge, experience with synchronous/asynchronous methods and streaming APIs, familiarity with GTM stack (Gong, Leandata, CPQ, billing systems), data pipeline knowledge, CI/CD understanding, and excellent communication skills. Preferred: experience with CPQ, contract lifecycle management, billing, subscriptions, Snowflake/DBT, Kafka, and Agile methodologies.
