DiligenceSquared is an AI-native consulting firm delivering investment-grade market research and commercial due diligence powered by AI agents and experienced consultants. The founding team brings deep experience from Blackstone and BCG, backed by Y Combinator and Relentless. The client base includes 5 of the 10 largest private equity firms globally, representing over $3 trillion in combined AUM. As GTM Associate, you will work directly with founders and GTM leadership to win and expand relationships with leading private equity firms. This is not a conventional SDR role—you'll need to understand how PE deal teams operate, recognize when live deals create research or due diligence needs, and hold credible conversations with sophisticated institutional clients. Key responsibilities include: - Identifying priority funds and deal teams, conducting thoughtful outreach, and converting relevant conversations into qualified opportunities - Mapping relationships across sector teams, strategies and offices within client funds to expand existing accounts - Tracking client priorities, portfolio activity and live deal signals to keep DiligenceSquared relevant and top-of-mind - Supporting the sales process through meeting preparation, follow-up, proposal coordination, and opportunity management - Maintaining clear account plans for priority targets, including current relationships, whitespace, recent activity and next steps - Learning from completed projects and bringing the right consultants into substantive client conversations - Collaborating with marketing to convert content, dinners, events and partnerships into client conversations and measurable pipeline - Building the GTM engine by maintaining sharp CRM data, testing messaging and outreach approaches, and developing playbooks as the team scales You may come from private equity, commercial due diligence, research, expert networks, investor relations or another client-facing role in private markets. Prior sales experience is helpful, but commercial drive, judgment and the desire to build a career in GTM matter more. REQUIREMENTS: - Two to five years of experience in private equity, commercial due diligence, strategy consulting, research, expert networks, investor relations or another relevant private-markets role - Private equity fluency: understanding the pace, priorities and working style of deal teams; ability to quickly get smart on a fund, sector or transaction - Commercial instinct: enjoy building relationships, asking good questions, finding opportunities and moving conversations toward clear next steps - Polished communication: write clearly, prepare thoroughly, and represent the company credibly with senior investment professionals - High initiative: identify what should happen next and take ownership of making it happen - Persistent follow-through: organized, responsive, and comfortable with repetition and rejection in pipeline building - Analytical and detail-oriented: research accounts, synthesize information, and organize complex relationships and opportunities - Fluent with AI tools: use AI as part of everyday workflow for research, preparation and execution PLUS EXPERIENCE: - Supporting or selling commercial due diligence, market research or expert-network services - Originating relationships, revenue or investment opportunities - Existing network across private equity deal teams - Previous startup experience
