As Growth Marketing Manager, you will own end-to-end performance marketing campaigns across all channels: paid social, search, programmatic, email, web, and out-of-home advertising. This is a hands-on, high-output role where you write ad copy, build landing pages, launch tests, analyze results the next morning, and reallocate budget toward what works. You are measured on candidate generation and qualified conversations, not spend or impressions.
Your primary audiences are technical—software and AI engineers, machinists, welders, and skilled technicians—requiring non-standard approaches and custom tactics. You will figure out what actually works for these specialized audiences.
Key responsibilities include: running paid campaigns end-to-end across social, search, and programmatic with strategy, targeting, creative, launch, optimization, and reporting; writing and shipping high volumes of ad variants, landing pages, and email sequences; running continuous testing on audiences, creative, offers, and landing pages; owning the campaign side of the website including landing pages, conversion paths, form flows, and the application funnel; managing out-of-home buying end-to-end (market selection, vendor negotiation, rates, contracting, trafficking, and verification); building measurement approaches for out-of-home using geo-based comparisons and lift studies; building and maintaining reporting on spend, funnel performance by channel and market, cost per qualified applicant, and cost per hire; instrumenting tracking, UTMs, conversion events, and integrations between site, ad platforms, and applicant tracking system; managing budget and pacing across channels; and partnering with recruiting, design, content, and communications teams.
You will be the first dedicated owner of this function, building infrastructure, tracking, and processes from scratch with real budget and autonomy to make channel decisions yourself. Media is currently being planned faster than it can be operated; you close that gap.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 4+ years in growth, performance, or digital marketing with direct hands-on ownership of paid campaigns and budget
- You have been the person in the ad accounts, not receiving reports
- Builder mentality: you write copy, build pages, set up tracking, and launch campaigns yourself; comfortable being the whole function
- Analytical rigor: fluent in funnel math, can distinguish real results from noise, know when tests have run long enough
- Scrappy by default: have gotten results without big budgets or agencies, prefer five cheap tests to one expensive campaign
- Comfortable with ownership and ambiguity, building infrastructure from scratch
- Judgment on attribution: can operate where not everything is cleanly attributable, make decisions, and communicate confidence levels
SET-APART QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience running recruitment marketing or employer brand campaigns, especially against engineering or skilled-trade audiences
- Hands-on out-of-home experience including vendor negotiation and production timeline realities
- Experience marketing to technical, skeptical audiences with a point of view on earning their attention
- Comfort with SQL, spreadsheets at depth, or lightweight scripting to access your own data
- Experience with applicant tracking system integrations and recruiting funnel reporting
- Track record in hard technology, defense, industrials, or similar categories with physical products and specialized audiences
ITAR REQUIREMENT: Must be a U.S. citizen or national, lawful permanent resident, protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
