Kraken, one of the world's longest-standing crypto platforms with over 10 million users, is seeking a Creative Strategist & Producer for its Consumer Creative & Design team. This role sits at the intersection of strategy and execution, owning end-to-end creative delivery for Kraken Consumer and Krak across performance ads, motion design, AI video, and web design.
You will spend roughly half your time writing concept-led briefs for paid static and motion creative, then briefing them to the creative and design team. The other half involves making work yourself in your strongest formats—whether that's meme content, AI video, on-camera performance, or other native formats. You'll also help Product Marketing and Performance Marketing teams sharpen their own briefs by bringing strategic concepts and cultural angles to the start of campaigns.
Key responsibilities include: spotting cultural and trend opportunities daily and turning them into ideas shipped within the same week; writing complete, concept-led briefs built collaboratively with Product Marketing and Performance Marketing; pitching original concepts proactively before being asked; creating your own content for paid and organic channels; using performance data and social listening as creative input; reacting inside news cycles; partnering with compliance to get work approved without losing the idea; and maintaining clean briefs and files for team collaboration.
You report to the Creative Lead, Consumer Creative & Design, in an individual contributor role with no direct reports. You work daily with Product Marketing, Performance Marketing, and the creative team. This is a role for a proactive self-starter who finds ideas, pitches them, and drives them to ship without waiting to be asked.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years in creative strategy, social, content, or performance creative at a high-volume in-house team, brand, or agency, ideally in fintech, crypto, gaming, or another regulated category
- Portfolio submission required, including: two to three concept-led briefs or concept decks with shipped work and performance data where shareable; work you made yourself in your strongest formats; one idea you spotted in culture or data and took to market, with notes on results and what you changed
- Proactive, self-starting work style; you find ideas, pitch them, and drive them to ship with light direction
- Pop-culture fluency and chronically online persona with comedic instinct and sense for what's about to feel dated
- Performance marketer's understanding of what makes a good brief: clear objective, audience, hook, platform, format, and constraints; ability to coach others toward this standard
- Demonstrated creative superpower you can execute alone, with shipped work to show
- Platform-native instincts across Meta, TikTok, YouTube, Reddit, and X; ability to explain why the same idea needs different builds per platform
- Fluency in creative metrics and habit of using performance data and social listening as idea inputs
- Solid copywriting instinct: plain language, value-first, no hype or jargon
- Comfort working inside regulatory constraints with concepts that survive risk warnings and market-specific requirements
- Speed without sloppiness; comfortable with fast turnarounds, multiple review rounds, and late changes
