Zapier is seeking a Growth Marketing Design Lead to own the end-to-end visitor-to-lead experience across the marketing site and campaigns. You'll lead the creation of a high-velocity experimentation engine that drives measurable business impact across top-of-funnel acquisition, conversion, and activation. Operating at the intersection of design, data, and marketing, you'll translate behavioral and search insights into scalable, on-brand experiences, establish rigorous testing frameworks, and partner closely with Growth Marketing, Web/Engineering, Brand, and Data teams.
Key responsibilities include:
- Own and define the complete visitor-to-lead experience, shaping how prospects discover, learn about, and decide to try Zapier
- Build and scale A/B and multivariate experimentation programs across landing pages, campaigns, and conversion surfaces
- Define and execute an AI-first design strategy connecting creative excellence with core growth metrics
- Own conversion rate optimization from a design perspective: form hypotheses, design experiments, iterate based on test results and growth metrics (MQLs, CAC, LTV)
- Refine site-wide information architecture to improve discoverability, navigation, and conversion efficiency
- Evolve content strategy for SEO and AI-driven search (GEO)
- Design high-performing lead-capture experiences (forms, gated content, CRM-integrated workflows)
- Extend existing design systems (web, email, brand guidelines) to serve growth and experimentation needs
- Partner with Growth Marketing, Brand, Web/Engineering, and Data to translate insights into scalable, accessible experiences
- Set standards for growth design practice across Brand Studio, mentoring designers and fostering craft, experimentation, and AI fluency
- Use AI tools to accelerate testing: generate variants at volume, prototype quickly, and share learnings across teams
Zapier values diverse perspectives and encourages applications even if your background doesn't exactly match the description. The company operates fully remote with thoughtful geographic considerations. Education is not required, though background checks will request recent educational experience if an offer is extended.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 10+ years of experience in growth, product, or marketing design with a strong portfolio of shipped, top-of-funnel work that drove measurable business impact (lead generation, conversion lift, acquisition)
- Proven track record driving growth through experimentation: designed and run A/B and multivariate tests, built and scaled experimentation programs, moved quickly from hypothesis to live experiment without compromising quality
- Deep understanding of SEO and conversion rate optimization; design with information architecture, landing page structure, page speed, and content strategy in mind
- Stay ahead of how AI is transforming organic search and discovery; evolve site architecture and content strategy for SEO and localized (GEO) behaviors
- Systems thinking: designed for CMS-driven platforms and modular frameworks; built and contributed to reusable components in shared design systems
- Owned lead-capture experiences (forms, gated content, CRM-integrated workflows); fluent in growth metrics (MQLs, CAC, LTV) and lead qualification workflows
- AI-first approach: actively use AI tools (Cursor, v0, Claude, Figma AI) to accelerate research, generate variants, prototype faster, and increase design velocity
- Deep Figma expertise: auto-layout, AI prototyping, track record of contributing to design systems
- High bar for usability, accessibility, and brand integrity; treat brand and conversion as aligned goals
- Seasoned operator and force multiplier: worked at scale and pace of fast-growing company, own ambiguous high-impact work end-to-end, mentor and level up other designers
- Strong communication and collaboration skills; partner naturally with growth marketers, brand designers, writers, engineers, and data teams; articulate design decisions in terms of both UX and business outcomes
- Embody Zapier's values of democratizing automation and fostering trust in a remote setting
