Clay is a Series D AI-powered SaaS platform ($7.1B valuation, $115M raised in 2026) that helps companies grow through go-to-market data enrichment, workflow automation, and AI agents. The company serves thousands of customers including Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, and Visa.
You will be the "local CMO" for Clay's AMER West sales region, building and executing a field marketing program that sources pipeline and accelerates deals through third-party tradeshows and hosted executive events. About half of Clay's business now runs through a sales-led motion, and the field team plays a critical role in getting accounts in the room with sellers. You'll own the full AMER West program end-to-end, reporting directly to the Head of Field Marketing.
Key responsibilities:
- Build the AMER West program calendar and target-account list in partnership with regional sales leadership, then execute the first wave of tradeshows and dinners
- Allocate event budget across programs based on ROI; budget moves between regions based on performance
- Report sourced pipeline, acceleration/expansion impact, and cost per opportunity for every program
- Be the sales team's partner day-to-day: get reps excited to invite the right people, provide invite templates and target lists, and drive follow-up on tradeshow leads
- Establish a steady working rhythm with AMER West sales managers and directors covering planning, pipeline reviews, and post-event retros
- Partner with the AMER East field marketer to ensure consistent cadence, playbook, and reporting across regions
- Use agents and automation to run programs efficiently; help shape scope for future field marketers as the team grows
Requirements:
- 4–8 years in field or regional marketing at a B2B company with a meaningful sales-led motion, ideally as the marketing lead for a specific sales region
- Proven track record running both third-party tradeshows and hosted first-party dinners or executive events, with pipeline numbers to demonstrate impact
- Comfort owning a budget and being measured on sourced pipeline, cost per opportunity, and ROI
- Credibility with sellers and sales leaders; ability to get reps bought in and following through
- Obsessive execution: deliver polished events at volume without losing sight of pipeline
- Operational rigor: build target lists, invite plans, and follow-up plays before booking venues
- AI-forward mindset: use agents and automation to plan, promote, and follow up on programs efficiently
- Strongly preferred: experience building in Clay
