Rho is a modern banking platform for startups and growth-stage companies, enabling account opening, card issuance, expense management, bill payment, and financial close in a single integrated platform. You will build and run Rho's revenue engine for the SMB segment. This is a hands-on role combining sales execution, process engineering, and experimentation. Your core responsibilities include: - Respond to every warm/inbound SMB lead within 5 minutes, with this SLA tracked and measured weekly. - Own the technical tooling that enables this speed: design and improve routing systems, alerting mechanisms, and follow-up automation so that velocity is engineered into the system rather than dependent on manual queue-watching. - Execute weekly growth plays set by the Growth/Marketing team—whether new outbound angles, channel tests, or messaging variants—and report back on what works and what doesn't. - Book qualified meetings for the closing team on higher-value SMB opportunities. - Close and fund lower-value SMB deals yourself, end-to-end, including account activation and funding. - Continuously refine your own CRM workflows, sequencing, and outbound tooling each quarter. You will report to the VP of Marketing with direct input into how this program evolves. This is an early-stage, undefined motion where you own a number and are expected to adapt as the role matures. REQUIREMENTS: - Demonstrated technical proficiency: you should have built or shipped something concrete (an app, tool, or side project) and will apply that instinct to automate your own pipeline rather than grinding it manually. - Background suited to fluency in complex financial topics (e.g., finance degree or equivalent) combined with genuine confidence in high-pressure cold-calling situations (evidenced by public speaking, competitive/club sports, or similar experience putting yourself out there under pressure). - Evidence of sales capability: prior quota attainment, high-volume rejection tolerance, or a specific example of coaching feedback that changed your approach within a week. - Comfort running a new play every week and reporting honestly on failures, not just successes. - Willingness to own an undefined, early-stage motion where compensation and quota may be adjusted as the role matures.
