SmartRent (NYSE: SMRT) is seeking a Group Product Manager for Data & Analytics to lead the strategic vision and execution of the company's enterprise data, reporting, and intelligence products. This is a highly cross-functional leadership role that bridges business strategy, data engineering, data science, and end-user needs.
You will define and communicate the strategic roadmap for SmartRent's enterprise data platform, reporting suites, and AI/ML initiatives. Key responsibilities include leading customer and market research to transform insights into actionable product requirements; partnering with internal stakeholders (Revenue, Operations, Finance, IT) and external customers to shape the data and analytics strategy; and collaborating closely with Data Science, ML Engineering, Data Engineering, and Design teams to convert raw telemetry, IoT, and operations data into predictive models, user-facing analytics, and business intelligence.
You will conduct qualitative and quantitative research with property managers and owners to understand their reporting, data integration, and analytical workflow needs. You'll translate stakeholder requirements into clear technical specifications, PRDs, and data models. You'll balance timing, cost, features, and performance to deliver high-impact products on schedule and within budget, and measure success using data-driven methods with established telemetry metrics.
This role includes managing escalations, influencing stakeholders across the organization, and mentoring cross-functional teams to foster innovation and excellence. You'll ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards, develop dashboards and KPIs to track product performance, and lead and mentor a team of product managers to build a data-informed product culture.
Required: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Economics, Computer Science, Business, or related field; minimum 7 years of product management experience; minimum 3 years managing data products, analytics platforms, data infrastructure, or ML solutions (preferably PropTech, SaaS, or IoT); 2-5 years of people management experience; proven collaboration with Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and ML teams; strong quantitative and qualitative research capabilities; solid understanding of data pipelines, ETL processes, data architecture, and ML model deployment; experience defining product roadmaps and prioritizing features; familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, Figma, Amplitude, GitHub, and prototyping tools; understanding of LLMs, MCP, and GenAI.
Preferred: SQL proficiency; ability to evaluate model performance metrics; experience with cross-functional teams.
