Higgsfield AI is a rapidly scaling generative AI company with $500M+ annual revenue run rate, 25M+ users globally, and partnerships with 390 Fortune 500 brands. The company is building AI-powered video creation and next-generation creative tools.
As Government Relations Manager, you will establish and lead Higgsfield AI's government relations function in Kazakhstan from the ground up. You will represent the company at industry events, conferences, and ecosystem initiatives, building and maintaining active relationships with key state bodies including the Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development, the Agency for Protection and Development of Competition, the personal data authority, relevant Mazhilis committees, and local akimats.
Key responsibilities include monitoring Kazakhstan's AI Law, Digital Code, and Personal Data Law, translating regulatory changes into concrete guidance for Legal, Product, and Trust & Safety teams. You will represent the company in industry associations such as Atameken and AIFC/AFSA, assess tax and regulatory benefits of Astana Hub and AIFC resident status, and prepare position papers, briefing materials, and talking points for leadership's government engagements.
You bring 5–7+ years of government relations, public policy, or regulatory affairs experience in Kazakhstan, ideally in tech, fintech, or AI sectors. You are a confident public speaker and networker with established relationships within government bodies, regulators, and Mazhilis deputies. Fluency in Kazakh and Russian is essential, with strong working English. Nice-to-have qualifications include existing relationships within Astana Hub's resident community, prior GR or public policy experience at a technology or AI company, and experience engaging with AIFC/AFSA.
This role offers high ownership and direct access to leadership as you build the company's GR function in Kazakhstan from the ground up, working at the intersection of cutting-edge AI technology and the region's emerging regulatory landscape.
