Flexport is seeking a General Manager to establish and lead operations in Taiwan as part of its rapid expansion across Asia. This is a pivotal country-level leadership role responsible for building local teams, driving market presence, and overseeing end-to-end operations. Key responsibilities include: **Strategy & P&L Ownership**: Set financial targets (volume, revenue, gross profit) in collaboration with Sales, Finance, and Regional leadership. Develop and execute the Annual Operating Plan with end-to-end P&L ownership including gross revenue, COGS, net revenue, and operating expenses. Own all operational metrics including on-time performance, schedule quality, and productivity. Drive day-to-day implementation with appropriate performance tracking and regular executive reporting. **Procurement Strategy**: Identify and lead strategic negotiations with airlines, handlers, and truckers to secure optimal value. Administer vendor strategy, establish service level agreements, and manage rigorous performance oversight. Formalize long-term vision on in-house procurement versus third-party forwarding. Establish executive-level relationships with key airline and shipping line contacts. Monitor end-to-end procurement costs against market benchmarks and drive continuous competitiveness improvements. **Product Development & Service Capabilities**: Align country product capabilities with market needs through partnership with regional operations. Develop new products to address market gaps and bring Flexport to market parity or exceed expectations. Drive best-in-class quality standards. **Team Leadership & Culture**: Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing local team. Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and Flexport values. Ensure outstanding customer experience through service quality, issue resolution, and long-term client relationships. **Market & Compliance**: Analyze local market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes to identify growth opportunities. Uphold legal, regulatory, and ethical standards across all operations. Flexport moves over $19B in merchandise annually across 112 countries using innovative technology and exceptional talent. This role is critical to expanding Flexport's presence in Asia and delivering exceptional customer value.
