F5 is seeking a Principal Solutions Engineer to support the Orange Global Account and its subsidiaries across EMEA (France, Poland, Belgium, Slovakia, and African operations). This is a pre-sales technical role reporting to the Global Solutions Engineering/Architect Manager within the Global Account Teams organization.
You will serve as a trusted technical advisor to Orange, combining deep product expertise with business acumen to drive sales of F5 solutions. Your responsibilities include:
• Articulate F5's product strategy, messaging, and value proposition aligned with customer business objectives
• Deliver technical expertise through sales presentations, solution designs, proof-of-concepts, and demonstrations (in-person and virtual)
• Assess opportunity viability and map organizational structures of complex global accounts
• Partner with Account Managers to identify technical champions, secure validation and sponsorship, and drive the sales process forward
• Provide world-class customer service throughout the customer lifecycle
• Collaborate with internal technical and sales teams to share best practices and expertise
You will spend approximately 50% of your time in customer meetings (remote or face-to-face). The role is primarily based in France with flexibility to work remotely.
To succeed, you should bring:
• Deep knowledge of data center, virtualization, and cloud computing environments, including AI Factory infrastructures
• Experience with service provider mobile network architectures and 3GPP protocols (4G/5G), particularly Packet Core and Telco Cloud
• Familiarity with next-generation data center infrastructures (high-speed connections, IP routing, BGP-EVPN)
• Hands-on experience with DevOps, CI/CD, and container orchestration (Kubernetes, OpenShift)
• Knowledge of network and application security
• Experience with RFx processes

REQUIREMENTS:
• 8+ years of related industry experience
• BS/BA degree or equivalent work experience
• Previous experience as a Solutions Engineer at Orange or for a global telco provider
• Fluent verbal and written English
• Familiarity with F5 technology or similar industry solutions (a plus)
• AI knowledge (a plus)
• Relevant certifications (a plus)
