Gong is seeking a Global Safety and Security Lead to design, implement, and lead worldwide safety and security programs as the company scales across regions. This role reports to the Sr. Director of Workplace and Facilities and is responsible for ensuring offices and employees operate in safe, compliant, and secure environments that reflect company values.
Key responsibilities include leading global physical security operations (access control, visitor management, surveillance, vendor oversight) and developing comprehensive security policies to protect employees, visitors, and assets. The role requires partnering with IT and Information Security to align physical and digital security strategies, overseeing incident response and investigations, and building relationships with local authorities and emergency services worldwide.
On the safety front, you will build and maintain global health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies aligned with local regulatory standards. This includes conducting workplace risk assessments and audits across all offices, overseeing emergency preparedness and response planning, developing safety training programs, and supporting local teams in establishing consistent safety standards.
The role also encompasses business continuity and risk management, requiring creation of crisis management frameworks, identification of global risks (natural disasters, geopolitical events), and proactive mitigation strategies. You will provide leadership support during emergencies and collaborate cross-functionally with HR, Legal, IT, and Facilities teams to ensure consistent global standards.
Required qualifications include 10+ years of experience in safety and/or security management, ideally in a global tech or high-growth environment. You must have strong knowledge of international HSE regulations and global security best practices, proven experience leading distributed teams and managing third-party vendors across multiple countries, and excellent problem-solving and crisis management skills. Relevant certifications (CSP, NEBOSH, OSHA, CPP) are preferred. The role requires up to 30% travel domestically and internationally. Strong proficiency with AI tools, physical security information management systems, and collaborative cross-organizational skills are essential.
