Rippling is seeking an experienced Global Payroll Operations Specialist to join its rapidly expanding Global Payroll Operations team based in South Africa. Rippling provides an integrated platform for HR, IT, and Finance, enabling businesses to manage the entire employee lifecycle—from payroll and benefits to IT provisioning—in a single system.
In this role, you will be a critical hire responsible for developing and executing new global payroll capabilities outside the US. You will own all operational aspects across select countries, manage relationships with external payroll partners, and drive expansion into new customer segments and geographies. Your country-specific payroll expertise will directly support the development of Rippling's natively built payroll software.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing operational execution for payroll across assigned countries
- Building and maintaining strategic partnerships with external payroll service providers
- Bringing deep country-specific payroll knowledge to inform product development
- Collaborating cross-functionally with product, engineering, and customer success teams
- Identifying opportunities to expand into new markets and customer segments
- Ensuring compliance with local payroll regulations and best practices
- Supporting the scaling of global payroll operations as Rippling grows
This role requires significant cross-departmental engagement and will have major impact on both product development and customer experience. You will be instrumental in establishing Rippling's payroll operations capabilities in key international markets.
