Demandbase is seeking an experienced Global Payroll Manager to own and elevate payroll operations across the US, India, and UK. This role is critical to ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely payroll delivery for a multi-entity, multi-country organization.
Key responsibilities include overseeing end-to-end payroll operations for US, India, and UK employee populations while ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with local statutory requirements. You will manage and develop an offshore payroll team, providing coaching, quality oversight, and clear performance expectations. As the primary payroll systems owner, you'll manage integrations between payroll platforms and inbound/outbound systems including HRIS, time & attendance, benefits, and GL/accounting.
You'll lead or support payroll system implementations, migrations, and upgrades, including Workday Payroll rollouts. Close partnership with PeopleOps and Benefits teams is essential to ensure seamless employee lifecycle events are reflected accurately in payroll. You'll own payroll accounting responsibilities including journal entries, account reconciliations, and close-cycle support in partnership with Corporate Accounting.
Additional responsibilities include supporting audit requests (financial statement, statutory, and 401(k) audits), maintaining strong internal controls over sensitive employee and compensation data, staying current on US payroll tax regulations, and identifying opportunities to streamline and automate payroll processes. You'll act as an escalation point for complex payroll issues, working cross-functionally to resolve discrepancies.
Required qualifications include experience managing payroll operations across multiple countries with direct experience in US, India, and UK payroll. Hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now and ADP Celergo is required, along with experience managing offshore teams and system integrations between payroll and other HR/finance systems. Prior payroll system implementation experience, strong understanding of payroll accounting principles, solid knowledge of US payroll tax requirements, and proven people management experience are essential. You should demonstrate excellent communication skills, a systems- and process-oriented mindset, high integrity in handling confidential data, and strong organizational skills.
