Northwood Space is a modern space infrastructure company building a global network of phased array ground stations that enable real-time, reliable communication for satellite missions in national security, global connectivity, and disaster response. The company designs, builds, and rapidly deploys scalable systems with a vertically integrated approach. As Global Operations Manager, you will lead complex, cross-functional initiatives to deploy Northwood's infrastructure and communications capabilities in new countries worldwide. You will work across commercial, financial, and regulatory domains to evaluate market opportunities, manage costs and timelines, negotiate agreements, secure necessary approvals, and coordinate execution across internal and external stakeholders. Key responsibilities include developing deep understanding of commercial, operational, regulatory, tax, import/export, and licensing requirements for new markets; building and executing market-entry plans that balance speed, cost, risk, and technical requirements; negotiating commercial agreements with infrastructure providers, consultants, landlords, and telecommunications partners; building forecasting models to track network growth, deployment costs, and operating performance; coordinating closely with engineering, finance, legal, supply chain, business development, and site operations teams; supporting import/export, customs, and vendor onboarding for international deployments; representing Northwood with government agencies and regulators; and creating repeatable processes for faster market entry and operations. You will engage directly with infrastructure providers, government agencies, regulators, consultants, internal engineering teams, and business leaders. This is an execution-heavy role requiring the ability to quickly understand unfamiliar problems, build structure from ambiguity, and drive international projects from initial evaluation through deployment and operation. Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, international relations, engineering, operations, or related field; 3+ years of experience in operations, strategy, finance, business development, consulting, market expansion, or similarly cross-functional roles; demonstrated ability to independently execute complex projects with multiple stakeholders and tight timelines; excellent written and verbal communication skills; willingness to travel domestically and internationally. Preferred experience includes international expansion, infrastructure deployment, supply chain, telecommunications, aerospace, or regulated industries; negotiating complex commercial contracts; engaging with government agencies and regulators; strong project management skills; experience with analytical tools (Excel, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Python); bias to action; and proficiency in additional languages.
