Blank Street is a food and beverage brand on a mission to become the defining brand of its generation. They are seeking a Global Expansion Associate to drive international growth through market analysis, launch execution, and AI-powered systems building.
In this role, you will own new market launches from kickoff through ramp, coordinating across Real Estate, Design, Operations, People, Supply Chain, Marketing, Finance, and Product. You'll develop launch plans, track critical paths, surface risks early, and build AI-powered project management systems to eliminate manual follow-up. You'll also parachute into launch problems to help resolve them and stay close to newly launched markets to support successful ramp.
You will help identify Blank Street's next cities and countries by assessing markets through consumer, competitive, real estate, financial, and operational data. You'll build business cases for major expansion decisions using AI tools, determine where to invest and when to launch, and translate on-the-ground learnings into smarter global expansion strategy. You'll work directly with senior leadership on expansion priorities and help shape materials for the Board.
The role requires someone who is equal parts strategist, operator, and builder. As a strategist, you can size new markets, understand their economics (ROIC, P&Ls, TAM, paybacks), and turn messy data into clear recommendations. As an operator, you can build launch plans from scratch, rally teams around them, and spot problems early. As a builder, you work in an AI-native way, creating tools and systems that give small teams leverage instead of relying on decks and manual analysis.
You'll work across nearly every function at Blank Street and alongside senior leadership, with a unique opportunity to shape where the company goes, how it gets there, and what Blank Street looks like around the world.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 2–4 years in a data-heavy, high-performance environment such as consulting, banking, PE, or BizOps/strategy at a high-growth company, or founding experience
- Data and finance savvy: ROIC, P&Ls, TAM, and unit economics are second nature
- Proven ability to build AI tools, automations, agents, or dashboards that replaced real manual work
- Ability to find signal in messy data and turn it into clear, confident recommendations
- Extremely organized with ability to drive dozens of moving pieces toward one outcome
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; executive-ready writing
- High ownership mentality with low ego; energized by building from scratch
- Willingness to travel as new markets require
