Turnitin is seeking a Global Events Specialist to plan, execute, and evaluate a wide range of virtual and in-person events designed to promote B2B SaaS solutions in the education technology sector. You will create impactful experiences that connect Turnitin with key stakeholders including educators, administrators, and decision-makers at educational institutions. Key Responsibilities: - Plan and execute virtual and in-person events including webinars, conferences, workshops, and roundtables targeting the education technology market - Collaborate with cross-functional teams (regional marketing, creative, sales, solutions engineering) to align on event goals, content, and messaging - Manage event budgets, negotiate vendor and venue contracts, and track expenses for cost-effective execution - Develop and execute event marketing strategies to drive attendance and engagement through email campaigns, social media, and targeted outreach - Identify and coordinate speaking opportunities aligned with event strategy - Oversee all logistical aspects including registration, speaker coordination, AV setup, and on-site support - Manage event content in partnership with marketing teams, ensuring brand and messaging alignment - Measure event success through attendance, lead generation, and post-event surveys; provide insights for continuous improvement - Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and best practices to innovate event strategies - Build relationships with partners, sponsors, and potential collaborators Turnitin is a 25+ year-old global education technology company serving over 16,000 academic institutions, publishers, and corporations across 185+ countries. Requirements: - 3-5+ years of experience in virtual and in-person event planning and execution with a strong portfolio of successful B2B events - Excellent project management and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously - Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional and external collaboration - Proficiency in event and project management software (CVENT, Goldcast, Zuddl, Zoom, Asana, etc.) - Analytical mindset with ability to measure and analyze event performance data (Tableau, Salesforce, etc.) - Creative problem-solving abilities and adaptability in fast-paced environments - Willingness to travel for in-person events - Familiarity with education technology sector and unique needs of educators/institutions (preferred)
