Nabis is the #1 licensed cannabis wholesale platform in the world, supplying $1B+ annually from hundreds of brands to retailers across California, New York, and Nevada. This General Manager role is the P&L owner for Nabis's California market, with expansion planned to Nevada and Arizona. You will report to the President and own full regional P&L accountability—revenue, gross margin, contribution margin, working capital, and headcount.
Key responsibilities include: owning the complete regional P&L across California with Nevada and Arizona added over time; managing and growing Nabis's most important brand and retail partner relationships, including pricing, commission structures, and marketing/logistics terms; monitoring competitive landscape and defending Nabis's position in its largest market; driving adoption of Nabis's financial products (Nabis Capital, BillPay) across the retailer and brand base; ensuring the region meets service-level and compliance standards including delivery performance, fulfillment quality, and chain-of-custody/audit readiness; overseeing credit and collections judgment on strategic accounts; serving as Nabis's senior representative to state regulators (California, Nevada, Arizona) and at industry events; and leading the attach of Nevada and launch of Arizona while maintaining core California business focus.
You should have 8+ years in general management, P&L leadership, or regional operations, ideally in distribution, CPG, or multi-state regulated industries. A track record owning a P&L of significant scale ($50M+ preferred) with direct accountability for revenue and margin is essential. Experience managing senior-level relationships with major commercial partners (retail, brand, or enterprise accounts) is required. Comfort operating in regulated, compliance-heavy environments with state regulator experience is a plus. Strong operational fluency in supply chain, logistics, or fulfillment is preferred. The role requires 40–50% travel across California, Nevada, and Arizona, and you must be based in or willing to relocate to Los Angeles.
Compensation: base salary $175,000–$190,000 plus target bonus weighted to gross margin and contribution margin performance, and long-term incentive (LTI) eligibility. Benefits include unlimited PTO, paid holidays, medical/dental/vision coverage, and 401(k) with match.
