Blank Street is seeking a General Manager for their West Hollywood location to lead store operations and drive team performance. In this role, you will be the strategic and operational leader of a single store, responsible for hiring, coaching, and developing a high-performing team of baristas and shift leads. You'll create an environment where team members feel supported, motivated, and empowered to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
Key responsibilities include:
**Hospitality & Standards**: Build and maintain systems, processes, and behaviors that set your team up for success. Coach your team to execute on hospitality standards, lead by example (including working behind the bar when needed), monitor performance daily, and hold the team accountable. Develop a community of regulars and handle complex customer issues with care.
**P&L Management**: Track store sales against targets, understand performance drivers, and activate operational levers to maximize store potential. Execute labor targets set by your Operating Manager and build schedules that match demand with the right people on the right stations. Own inventory ordering, receiving, counting, waste management, and variance resolution.
**Team Building**: Recruit well-rounded, high-functioning baristas and shift leads who align with Blank Street's standards. Own the onboarding journey for new hires, including pairing with trainers and monitoring training execution. Develop your team into future leaders through training pathways, regular feedback, 1:1s, and coaching. Create a fun, high-performing culture focused on retention through recognition and team events.
**Strategic Planning & Operations**: Digest store KPIs weekly, identify priorities, and translate them into clear actions. Create weekly and quarterly plans for your store and report progress to your Operating Manager. Roll out new initiatives (menu launches, tech tools) with clear communication, hands-on training, and team buy-in. Manage time intentionally to balance immediate needs with longer-term priorities.
You'll work full-time, 45–50 hours per week across 5 days, including your store's two busiest days each week (typically Friday, Saturday, or Sunday).
**Requirements:**
- 4+ years of experience managing and leading single-store operations in high-growth hospitality or consumer brands

- Experience managing inventory and supply chain ordering
- Experience in a unionized environment is a plus
- Passion for hospitality and creating exceptional customer and employee experiences
