Salary: USD 70,000 - 80,000 / annual

Blank Street is a high-growth food and beverage brand on a mission to become the defining brand of its generation through elevated products and exceptional customer experiences. As General Manager of the Wellesley location, you will own full P&L responsibility for a single-unit coffee shop operation and lead a team of baristas and hospitality staff. You will be accountable for all aspects of store operations including team hiring, training, and development; inventory management and vendor relations; food and beverage quality standards; scheduling and payroll administration; and financial performance including sales growth and average order value optimization. The role requires hands-on leadership, with 50-70% of your time spent behind the bar demonstrating technical excellence in coffee preparation and customer service. Key responsibilities include creating a motivating team culture through consistent coaching and mentoring; maintaining operational excellence and compliance with company auditing standards; ensuring food safety and facility cleanliness; managing inventory counts and waste; recruiting talent in collaboration with the People Team; overseeing staff training and coffee accreditations; and building community relationships to drive local brand loyalty. You will report to a regional or area manager and collaborate with the People Team on hiring. The role requires full-time availability at 45 hours per week across 5 days, with mandatory availability on 2 peak days (typically Friday-Sunday). You'll need 4+ years of experience managing single-unit operations in high-growth hospitality or consumer brands, strong specialty coffee knowledge, inventory management experience, and proven ability to lead and develop teams. Experience in unionized environments is a plus.
