Primer is a network of K–8 schools focused on restoring foundational American education through close-knit learning environments and skilled educators. You will own the growth and operations of two nascent scholarship programs: the Federal Scholarship Tax Credit Program (launching January 2027) and the Alabama School Choice Tax Credit (live now). These programs unlock education access for working-class families through tax-credit mechanisms. Your core responsibilities span three areas: (1) Federal Tax Credit Programs—own Primer's relationships with national Scholarship Granting Organizations (SGOs), negotiate final terms, set state-by-state funding amounts and timelines, and serve as the bridge between SGO teams and Primer's internal teams (Bursar, Foundation, Legal, Finance); (2) Alabama Tax Credit Programs—run outreach to corporate prospects capable of utilizing $1M+/year in state income tax credits, build individual donor growth through paid acquisition and Primer's network, and own growth end-to-end including annual targets, creatives, and contractor management; (3) Launch and run Primer's in-house SGO growth engine with paid acquisition, landing pages, and creative assets. You are a seasoned generalist who executes fluidly across operations, marketing, and external-facing work. You have owned a number before—measured on dollars generated, deals closed, or revenue grown—and can articulate exactly how you achieved it. You are comfortable negotiating with external partners and have experience running or directing paid acquisition channels. You understand what high-performing paid acquisition looks like and can manage the complexity of scaling a program from nascent to 10x growth in 24 months. You feel the mission deeply: these programs unlock education options for millions of children being left behind by traditional systems. You are comfortable being judged on a clear metric: dollars generated. You thrive in ambiguity—the Federal program doesn't exist yet, and you will write the playbook. You start as a team of one with contractors, scaling as the program grows.
